Used this as a gift “basket” for my woodworking husband. He loved the basket and the product. It fits on top of his other sustainer boxes and easy to travel with.I love these open top sustainers. When I need to grab nic-nacs to go do a job I grab this guy throw it on top of my tools and fill it with with hammers, screw drivers etc and off to the job. You can stack several of these as long as they are not over filled. This is a great addition to Festool's systainer system. I can throw lots of items in this and then attach it to the top of the vacuum, or to other systainers. Used it this weekend when I had to sand some stair nosing inside someone's home. I threw in some tape, sanding sheets, a rag, a few chisels and a mallet. I could then attach it to the sander systainer, which was attached to the CT which made it all one nice package and one trip in and out. Bought another one too!I purchased this to mount on top of my Festool CT 36 vacuum that I use in my garage shop. It locks securely on top of the vacuum using the same method that all of the Festool tool containers use to stack together. I can put the sander(s) or other tools I am attaching the vac to in the top, and the handle that sticks up makes it easier to guide the vacuum around when moving it.This is another very well thought out, effective accessory for the Festool system.I really like this product because it allows me to connect my tool tray to other systainers. This may seam like a minor detail but it deff makes for added efficiency and productivity. It's a fine, Ok piece of "Festool". It's not my favorite piece, which I guess would have some adjustable dividers to keep upright items like cans from tipping over, but it is very good nevertheless.I think it will be GREAT paired with the Festool 499901 SYS-Storage Systainer.Wow really ergonomic and well made to last a long time. I am a fruent Festool buyer.Does exactly what you need it to do. Compatible with other systainers and helps to keep your tools together for a task. Just toss in what you need then lock to your other systainers and go. Only problem is you'll want more than one!Unlike some other reviewers I'm awarding this tool box five stars because I'm rating the product itself, not the delivery or ability of a third party to supply a clean version. As with all Festool kit, yes, this is more expensive than some other options on the market. The difference is that it's very well designed, amazingly tough, made to high standards using high quality materials, and manufactured in Germany by people earning a living wage in exchange for their hard work. If you want a cheap Chinese box that will fall to bits after two years, go elsewhere now, but be prepared to spend more in the long term.I purchased my box as a tote, to use primarily about the house. It allows me to decant whatever tools and fixings I need from my set of Systainers in the workshop, and carry them to wherever the job is. For this purpose it's superb, and it makes life so much easier. It also ensures everything goes back where it came from after the job, as I simply empty it again when the job is over. It's super-tough and even attaches to the top of Systainers or my Festool dust extractor. More boxes can be added on top too, attaching with the green side clips.I'm currently toying with purchasing the higher sided version of this tool box, I'm a plumber/heating engineer and bought 3 of these to be my new soldering/fittings boxes.I'm aware of festool as a high quality power tool brand. These tool trays are of a good professional, heavy duty quality. Clip together easily and firmly.I've split them to hold my fittings: 15, 22 and 28mm. They sit securely in the van and keep my fittings organised. Separate easily so I can take just what I want into my job. Also room for flux, paste and solder!Ideal and may purchase more.Bought as a gift for my partner whose a painter and decorator and has been eye balling these for a while and he's so pleased with it!.Great quality and very versatile in its uses. Would definitely recommend.Perfect for carrying your bits and bobs to a jobHandy for general things that ain’t too big
