I have a large toolbox I keep in my suburban for work and I drove around for a year or more with tools rattling around in the box. Very annoying. I finally decided maybe a tray liner might reduce the noise. This liner virtually eliminated all the rattling. I was amazed at how effective it was. The only thing I can possibly complain about is that occasionally I have to straighten it out a bit because it gets pushed to one side. I'm guessing I can glue it down somehow to stop that.
