This kit has so much potential to be really cool. My nine year old daughter assembled it herself one afternoon. It needed a few adjustments because a couple pre-drilled holes didn't line up but it was good for her to practice trouble shooting. The only downside was that once assembled, it moves in a clunky manner. The music box isn't very loud so you can barely hear the tune. I'll replace the music box later and see if it improves. She enjoyed building it, but won't likely play with it as is. She has built and enjoyed other wood kits by Red Toolbox such as the candy dispenser and the basket ball shooter. I hope they develop more but spend more time ensuring the kits function well.
