As one who has dealt with some depression and who is now involved in the care of others dealing with this mental health concern, I found this book full of thoughtful ideas, suggestions, and explanations that expanded my awareness and gave me tools to help. I especially appreciated that the author backed up her ideas with sound research and that the original research was included so that I could read it myself and come to my own conclusions. I also appreciated that her approach was multi layered - recognizing that many different approaches might be needed along the path.
