We got the remarkably sparkly purse for my 2 yr old daughter from my in-laws over Christmas. I admit, it turned me off because I'm so sick of my daughter getting these super pink, stereotypically 'girly' things to play with so I put it in a drawer for the better part of three months. On our recent 10 hour road trip, I was looking for things to put in her busy bag and came across the purse...I threw it in there thinking it would entertain for a couple of minutes and then she would move on. Not so much. She studied that damn purse for HOURS. We take it out to eat with us so she can play with it while we wait for dinner to arrive. We take it for long waits in the doctor's office. It is always in my bag. Younger kids will need a little bit of help with matching up the page numbers (certain stickers go on certain pages) but for the most part, this is something that she can play with by herself. I got her the my book sticker tool box because we are almost out of stickers in the purse book. I hope they come out with more of these that are more gender neutral. I think that these books will be good for anywhere from 2-8...or for any child who is a sticker fiend. They have little task instructions on each page for beginner readers too which is a nice little bonus.
