Even though _Reviser's Toolbox_ has some good, effective writing and revising techniques, the activities are a bit too kiddy-ish for my taste. I teach grades 10-12: I found the fonts detracted from the usefullness of the activities and the activities didn't address all of my needs. I find that constructing my own revision pages is better since it's easier for me to focus on the specific skills I want the students to master and on which I want them to focus. I can use a few of the activities and guidelines, but I admit to being disappointed.One of my colleagues loves this book, however, and she swears by it. She believes her students have become better writers as a result. I recommend checking out the book throroughly before purchase to see if it fits your style. I think this book can help professional writers and students.
